Our home in Newark has welcomed families from across the Bay Area. We keep groups intentionally small so every child receives the individual attention they need to truly thrive.

Meet your caregiver

Hi, I am Priya, and your child is my greatest priority.

Say hello to Priya: part teacher, part artist, part professional puddle jumper (ask her kids, they will confirm). As a mum of two herself, a spirited 6 year old and a busy, curious 3 year old, she mastered the art of turning chaos into joy long before the school bell ever rings.

With Early Childhood Education credentials, First Aid and CPR certification, a Bachelor's in Electronics and Communication Engineering, a Master's in Computer Science, and years of hands on teaching from wobbly toddlers to confident 5th graders, Priya knows exactly how to meet each child right where they are, and gently nudge them toward where they are growing.

But here is what really sets her apart: Priya does not just teach ABCs and 123s. A trained painter and classical dancer, she sneaks learning into everything. A splash of watercolour here, a silly dance break there, a story that turns into a full blown puppet show. Glue sticks, glitter and giggles are practically part of the daily schedule.

Underneath all the fun is real structure and real care. Every child's day is thoughtfully planned, every milestone is celebrated, and every parent gets a caregiver who treats their little one like family, because to Priya, that is exactly what they are.

The art room

The wall she painted

Every canvas in the art room is Priya's own, and they are there to inspire. Children who spend their days surrounded by paintings reach for a brush without being asked, and every one of them leaves with a little gallery of their own.

Art is not a Friday activity here. It is on the walls, on the table, and usually on someone's hands.

The daily rhythm

What a day looks like

Every part of the day is planned before it happens, with room to follow wherever the children's curiosity leads. Here is the shape of a typical day.

Doors open. Shoes off, hands washed, one hug each.

Circle on the alphabet rug. Songs, the weather, whose turn it is.

Art at the low table. Paint, glue, paper, mess.

Snack, then out to the yard. Slide, swing, ride on cars, turf.

Letters, numbers, shapes. Fifteen minutes, no longer.

Lunch together at the table.

Quiet time. Mats down, blinds half closed.

Books in the corner. Picture books, Hanuman, Krishna, shlokas.

Free play, and the day's photos go out to parents.

Doors close.

The alphabet rug in the playroom where the morning circle happens

The rug the whole morning is built around.

The fenced back yard with turf, a slide, a swing and ride on toys

Out the sliding door at half past ten.

Good to know

Questions families often ask

A few things parents like to know before they visit. If your question is not here, just ask. We are always happy to talk.

What ages do you care for?

We welcome children from 18 months to 5 years. We keep our group small on purpose, so every child gets real one to one attention and the older and younger children learn from each other.

What are your hours, and do you offer part time?

We are open Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Full day, half day and part week schedules are all available, and there is a sibling discount for families enrolling more than one child.

What does a typical day include?

Circle time on the alphabet rug, art and crafts, plenty of outdoor play in our fenced yard, stories and songs, a healthy snack and lunch, and a quiet rest after lunch. You can see the whole daily rhythm a little further up the page.

Are meals and snacks provided?

Yes. We take part in the CACFP meal program, so nutritious snacks and meals are included. Just let us know about any allergies or preferences and we will happily work around them.

How will I know how my child's day went?

Photos and a little note go out to parents every afternoon, and we always have a moment to chat at pickup. Our door is open for a visit any time you would like to drop by.

What should my child bring?

A change of clothes, diapers or pull ups if your child still uses them, and a comfort item for rest time. We take care of everything else.

How do we get started?

Reach out to schedule a free visit. Come by during the day, meet Priya, see the rooms and the yard, and ask anything you like. There is never any pressure, and we are glad to help you decide what is right for your family.
